It's Super Bowl 50 week and this one marks the 50th edition of the Super Bowl first played in 1967 in anticipation of the 1970 merger of the American Football League and the NFL. The league emphasized the golden anniversary of the game. Normally Roman numerals are used, but this year it was decided to feature the Arabic numerals of 50. In addition to the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the winner of Super Bowl 50 will also receive a special 18-karat gold plated "50" trophy.
The teams playing will be the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos...at Levi Stadium, Santa Clara, California. February 7, 2016.
I look forward to seeing the young blood, Cam Newton, QB and his team, compete against Peyton Manning QB, 39 year old best player in the NFL and his team. New versus old! Should be good.
